This whole tax thing leaves me conflicted, admittedly. I am a strong believer in reducing corp tax rates, and this effort looks to do that (although apparently now one of the games they're playing to force the numbers to work is set expiration dates on corp rates as well as individual rates, which I find to be such horseshit. These are just gimmicks to avoid the debate that should really be happening).

As a personal matter I am getting slammed, so I can't claim to be a neutral observer here, but I have often favored policies that would not benefit me personally.

Makes no difference if nobody believes me when I say I'm getting slammed - I play no part in the tax bill. Trump on the other hand does. And he's probably lying when he says he gets hurt by the bill, unless he is the dumbest commercial real estate tax structurer in history. From the pass through provisions to carried interest and apparently all kinds of technicalities in between, commercial real estate in general is poised to be one of the biggest winners in this effort.

My two main objections to this tax bill - (1) the mockery of a process that it's going through to pass it, all but guaranteeing it will contain all kinds of unintended (or intended but hidden) consequences, and (2) Trump's enormous conflict of interest.

Every Trump supporter who had problems with Hillary's foundation and other conflicts and none with Trump's lack of transparency and therefore obvious conflicts of interests should be taking a very hard look at themselves in the mirror. You folks are taking hypocrisy to comical levels.

It's very much like that kinda funny Lindsey Graham gotcha moment posted below where he rails against the press for statements that he himself made more obviously than anyone in the press.
